AFTER CARE
The Cyanide Tank is wearable art which is made with either cyanotype solution or solarfast dye. These are slightly different processes but both are made from UV light sensitive chemicals and require special care.
Store out of direct sunlight and wash minimally / spot wash to prolong the garments lifespan. Ironing / steaming is OK.
LAUNDRY INSTRUCTIONS
☆ Gently hand wash in cold water.
☆ Use phosphate, bleach & sodium free detergent OR mix in a solution of 10% hydrogen peroxide & 90% cold water to brighten blue tones and remove dirt.
☆ Hang to dry.
☆ Do NOT put top through the washer or dryer.
FOR CYANOTYPE SOLUTION SHIRTS (Not SolarFast) -
If you notice the colour of the shirt has faded, you can give your top a bath in 90% cold water and 10% hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide helps to restore some of the pigment in cyanotype prints. This process can be repeated when necessary!
